I started to call this the article “The Golden Compass  never points to the truth”-  A compass is supposed to be something that always points north- or  always tells the truth- but this movie does anything but point to the truth!!

This movie is NOT a children’s movie, and in my opinion, it is not fit for adults either- it is full of lies and deception. It goes completely against the Bible, Gods Word! The Bible speaks of a time such as this when men would call evil good and good evil-

Isaiah ^5:20-Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

Just thinking about somethings this afternoon as I awakened from a short, much needed nap; We have been running wide open lately so was nice to catch a catnap after church- Anyway, as I awoke the thought came to me- how would it be to have my next birthday party become a worldwide Holiday? What if everyone, or the majority of people anyway, took the day off, businesses closed, Banks, Post Offices, Governments closed down, and Stock Markets around the world were silent that day; millions, even billions of people participated in a one day worldwide celebration of my birthday-That would be a pretty big deal for a boy born in a rural part of North Carolina!
But instead of the day being a celebration about my life and my birth, everybody bought gifts and gave them to each other; At the many parties held in celebration of my birth few, if any people mentioned my name nor even gave me a 2nd thought-It Is My Birthday! Hey! Why aren’t you thinking about me??? This is supposed to be MY party!! But very few people paused to think why the day was set aside in the first place- I guess, humanly speaking that I would be at least a little upset with the whole mess- I would feel as if I didn’t matter- And speaking from a human standpoint I would be saddened that I didn’t get to be a part of the celebration- It is supposed to be a party for me, right?-Well, that is the way the majority of the world treats the Celebration of our LORD and Savior, Jesus! Don’t let this happen this year in your life- Remember Jesus IS the reason for the Season! Keep Him first place in your family celebrations, work celebrations- Take the time to spend thanking God for His Greatest Gift- Spend time in God’s Word reading the Christmas Story of all Christmas stories- and declare that JESUS IS LORD!

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

Running wide open for God and declaring that JESUS IS LORD!!

The article on down below was written by Dr. Bill Bailey- I was talking to him earlier tonight and shared with him the fact my 20 year old son had mentioned it this afternoon-I immediately asked my son if he was he thinking about going to see it- without any hesitation he told me NO! Thank God!! He knows that this is a movie about some kids who kill God so they can do what they want without any condemnation-Sound familiar? That is a big problem in this world now- many want to “Do their own thing” so to speak- or”Just do it”- you know the slogans that fill our vocabulary– Anyway, I asked Dr. Bill if I could include his article in this blog tonight- Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, ANYONE who has a child or knows a child, I encourage you to stay away from this movie or any business that is promoting it and please warn your family and friends! Greetings to all! Today is a trial run at something new-I know there may be some that might frown on this but hear me out- It is not Gods will that any should perish, but that all should have eternal life!
Joh 3:16 says it like this: For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Now back to my thoughts-We have a lost and dying world that needs to hear the Gospel and that Jesus Is LORD! We also have a population explosion of Spanish speaking people in this area who also need to know that JESUS IS LORD! I found this cool site that translates English to Spanish as you type- And YES I am leaning to speak Spanish! It is a fact that we have a mission field right here in our backyard- There are literally hundreds of thousands of people in the Greensboro area that have never heard the Word of God, The Good News that God Loves them! And that my friends is a shame-

Good Morning to everyone reading this! May you have a wonderful day and a day when  you have all green lights on the way to work and back home- a day when you and that  co-worker who you don’t  exactly see eye to eye with become best friends for life- a day when you can just bask in the Goodness of God and His Blessings  on you! A day when you have the perfect parking place- a day when you find that bargain you have been looking for- a day when that problem you have been working on for weeks just melts away- A day when that wayward child that hasn’t called in weeks or months calls just to say that they love you- So, by now you are probably wondering, where is the invitation? It is before you at all times. You are invited to make the  right decision and do the right thing and say the right thing; the thing you know is the right thing to do-a day to treat others like you want to be treated; See what Jesus said in Matthew 5:44  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
So when that person  who left 10 minutes late and is driving like they are the only one on the road cuts you off and maybe even gives you some”sign language” you just smile at them - when you are looking for a parking place and you finally  see one and somebody comes up the  row the wrong way and “steals” it from you just smile and act as if it doesn’t bother you- When that  waitress who is having less than a perfect day is cranky and unfriendly, give them a kind word and a smile and a little extra on the tip- You will be surprised how much of a difference you can make in someones day by just a kind word or just a smile, or a kind deed-

For several months now the LORD has been dealing with me about the 2008 election-The Body of Christ must make a difference in this election- they must get involved- the very future of this country as we know it hangs in the balance! First of all the scripture that I am standing on is Proverbs 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

I am 43 years old and have seen times that this country has gone through a period of mourning because of who was running this country-It does make a BIG difference who is in Congress and in the White House-And YES integrity and character DOES matter! Some of the best years of this countries history were when President Ronald Reagan was in office- Now I know there are some who would argue that point and that is fine- you are entitled to your opinion- this blog is not designed to cause an argument and strife- it is designed to make you think! I also am of a mind that the 2nd best series of years of this countries history is the last 7 years since President George W. Bush was elected-I think he has done a good job but there have been alot of people who won’t admit it and never will because their eyes are blinded so to speak- We have a roaring economy, a record Dow and yes, we are in a war in a foreign land but we ARE winning even if CNN and other liberal networks and people wont admit it- OK, OK enough talk about this lets get back on track-

We need to be spending time before God and finding out who we need to support in the 2008 election- I am asking God to raise up 2 Born Again, Holy Ghost filled, Christian men to take the office of President and Vice President. The same thing in all other elections- Born again men and women to be elected to the House Of Representatives and Senate! Also the same thing in all local and state level elections!- This country IS the greatest country on earth and I personally want to see it remain that way! If you are a Christian, please join with me in this awesome task. Pray! Seek Gods will and then get to it! Get out and vote! Stand in Faith! Then pray for all those in power and authority-this includes our Police, Fire, and Military according to 1Ti 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Its real simple: if we follow Gods guidance and His will we won’t go wrong! And we won’t return to a nation of mourning- Think about it- and yes, your comments are always welcome-

You know, God never intended for His Children to be sick- Back in Exodus He told the Children of Israel that He was their Healer- And Isaiah 53 tells us He( Jesus) bore all our sorrows, griefs,sickness and diseases-And Jesus also told us the sicknes ,disease and destruction came from the devil in John 10:10- Also, Galatians 3:13 tells us that He(Jesus) became the curse for us and we are redeemed from the curse- whats the curse you may ask- Go read Deuteronomy 28- the 1st 14 verses are The Blessing then verse 15-68 now some people may say well thats Old Testament; yes you are correct BUT doesn’t it also say in Galatians 3:14 and 29 that the Blessing of Abraham would come upon the Gentile and if we are Christs then we are Abraham’s seed and heirs to the Promise? well, that sounds to me like The Blessings are ours , if you have made the quality decision to accept Jesus as your LORD and Savior- I am including scripture from the KJV below- read and be Blessed! and there shall be no might in thine hand. 33The fruit of thy land, and all thy labours, shall a nation which thou knowest not eat up; and thou shalt be only oppressed and crushed alway: 34So that thou shalt be mad for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 35The LORD shall smite thee in the knees, and in the legs, with a sore botch that cannot be healed, from the sole of thy foot unto the top of thy head. 36The LORD shall bring thee, and thy king which thou shalt set over thee, unto a nation which neither thou nor thy fathers have known; and there shalt thou serve other gods, wood and stone. 37And thou shalt become an astonishment, a proverb, and a byword, among all nations whither the LORD shall lead thee. 38Thou shalt carry much seed out into the field, and shalt gather but little in; for the locust shall consume it. 39Thou shalt plant vineyards, and dress them, but shalt neither drink of the wine, nor gather the grapes; for the worms shall eat them. 40Thou shalt have olive trees throughout all thy coasts, but thou shalt not anoint thyself with the oil; for thine olive shall cast his fruit. 41Thou shalt beget sons and daughters, but thou shalt not enjoy them; for they shall go into captivity. 42All thy trees and fruit of thy land shall the locust consume. 43The stranger that is within thee shall get up above thee very high; and thou shalt come down very low. 44He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail. 45Moreover all these curses shall come upon thee, and shall pursue thee, and overtake thee, till thou be destroyed; because thou hearkenedst not unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which he commanded thee: 46And they shall be upon thee for a sign and for a wonder, and upon thy seed for ever. 47Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness, and with gladness of heart, for the abundance of all things; 48Therefore shalt thou serve thine enemies which the LORD shall send against thee, in hunger, and in thirst, and in nakedness, and in want of all things: and he shall put a yoke of iron upon thy neck, until he have destroyed thee. 49The LORD shall bring a nation against thee from far, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flieth; a nation whose tongue thou shalt not understand; 50A nation of fierce countenance, which shall not regard the person of the old, nor shew favour to the young: 51And he shall eat the fruit of thy cattle, and the fruit of thy land, until thou be destroyed: which also shall not leave thee either corn, wine, or oil, or the increase of thy kine, or flocks of thy sheep, until he have destroyed thee. 52And he shall besiege thee in all thy gates, until thy high and fenced walls come down, wherein thou trustedst, throughout all thy land: and he shall besiege thee in all thy gates throughout all thy land, which the LORD thy God hath given thee. 53And thou shalt eat the fruit of thine own body, the flesh of thy sons and of thy daughters, which the LORD thy God hath given thee, in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee: 54So that the man that is tender among you, and very delicate, his eye shall be evil toward his brother, and toward the wife of his bosom, and toward the remnant of his children which he shall leave: 55So that he will not give to any of them of the flesh of his children whom he shall eat: because he hath nothing left him in the siege, and in the straitness, wherewith thine enemies shall distress thee in all thy gates. 56The tender and delicate woman among you, which would not adventure to set the sole of her foot upon the ground for delicateness and tenderness, her eye shall be evil toward the husband of her bosom, and toward her son, and toward her daughter, 57And toward her young one that cometh out from between her feet, and toward her children which she shall bear: for she shall eat them for want of all things secretly in the siege and straitness, wherewith thine enemy shall distress thee in thy gates. 58If thou wilt not observe to do all the words of this law that are written in this book, that thou mayest fear this glorious and fearful name, THE LORD THY GOD; 59Then the LORD will make thy plagues wonderful, and the plagues of thy seed, even great plagues, and of long continuance, and sore sicknesses, and of long continuance. 60Moreover he will bring upon thee all the diseases of Egypt, which thou wast afraid of; and they shall cleave unto thee. 61Also every sickness, and every plague, which is not written in the book of this law, them will the LORD bring upon thee, until thou be destroyed. 62And ye shall be left few in number, whereas ye were as the stars of heaven for multitude; because thou wouldest not obey the voice of the LORD thy God. 63And it shall come to pass, that as the LORD rejoiced over you to do you good, and to multiply you; so the LORD will rejoice over you to destroy you, and to bring you to nought; and ye shall be plucked from off the land whither thou goest to possess it. 64And the LORD shall scatter thee among all people, from the one end of the earth even unto the other; and there thou shalt serve other gods, which neither thou nor thy fathers have known, even wood and stone. 65And among these nations shalt thou find no ease, neither shall the sole of thy foot have rest: but the LORD shall give thee there a trembling heart, and failing of eyes, and sorrow of mind: 66And thy life shall hang in doubt before thee; and thou shalt fear day and night, and shalt have none assurance of thy life: 67In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart wherewith thou shalt fear, and for the sight of thine eyes which thou shalt see. 68And the LORD shall bring thee into Egypt again with ships, by the way whereof I spake unto thee, Thou shalt see it no more again: and there ye shall be sold unto your enemies for bondmen and bondwomen, and no man shall buy you.
