A Prayer For Those In Authority

Below is  what Paul wrote to Timothy concerning prayer for our leaders. We pray for God to guide them so we can lead a quiet and peaceful life.

1 Timothy 2

¹I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

²For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

³For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

⁴Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

⁵For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;

⁶Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Join with me in praying this prayer below, based on the Word of God, for our Nation and it’s leaders:

Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus I thank You for wisdom for our leaders and all those in authority. I thank You that they look to You for direction in making Godly decisions for the best of this Nations towns, cities,  counties, states and the whole nation. I thank You for protection over all those in elected offices and that they know the love and peace that can only come from You. I declare by Your Word that no weapon formed against this nation or  it’s citizens will prosper. We, as a nation, do dwell in the secret place of the Most High and no harm shall befall us. I thank You Father that the righteous are never forsaken and that Your seed will never be begging bread because You, not a government program, supplies all our needs according to Your riches in Glory by Christ Jesus! I stand on Your Word and Your Promises and thank You for a smooth transition of power in all offices across this land and that Your Word will never return to You void but will accomplish what it was sent to do and that You will have Your will done in this nation, in Jesus Name. I thank You that according to Your Word that when the Righteous are in authority the people rejoice and that You turn the hearts of the leaders as You do the rivers of water and that this is a  nation of rejoicing. I thank You for Your BLESSING being in operation in this nation and in every elected office and that if there are things being done in darkness that are not according to your Word then it is shouted from the housetops and that the Light is shined upon it and it is dealt with swiftly. I thank You that the eyes of people all across this nation are opened and they come to a realization that without Jesus as their LORD they are doomed to an eternity in Hell and that they turn from their wicked ways and make Jesus the LORD of their lives. Finally, I thank You that Your people take their place and do that which You have commanded in Your Word. That they  humble themselves and pray for this Nation and turn from their wicked ways so that you can heal our land. In Jesus Name  I pray, AMEN!
