Just a short blog today but just want all that read this to stop and think for a minute on just what Jesus did for you. He left His Heavenly Glory, took on the body of a man, lived a sinless life in which He was tempted in all areas just like we are. ( Hebrews4:15) He laid down His life and went to hell and paid the price for our sins till the sin debt was paid- Was raised from the dead and is now seated at the Right Hand of the Father!
Every sin that had ever been committed and every sin that would be committed! Every sickness and disease, everything that came when Adam committed high treason and the Curse hit this planet. See what the Bible has to say about it:
Isaiah 53:4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Jesus paid a tremendous price but He did it willingly because He knew it was the only way to redeem mankind from spiritual death. Thank You Jesus for what you did for us!
I am attaching a video to this that is from the movie ” The Passion of Christ”. I know it is a Hollywood movie but this scene where it shows the beating Jesus endured is about as close to anything that we can imagine- And even then it comes short.Isaiah 52:14 says He was marred more than any man- like I said, we can only imagine how horrible it was. This time of year when we celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus take time to reflect on how much He loves you and wants to be your LORD. He did do it all for you! Don’t get hung up in the Easter baskets, bunnies, eggs, and a big feast. Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection IS what this IS all about! Have a Blessed Resurrection Day! JESUS IS LORD!
