Time Marches On

Wow! Another week and another month is in the history books! We are definitely in a period of accelerated time! Amos 9:13 (a) Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; Gods Word spoke of it well over 2000 years ago- Thank God for His Word! It is as fresh as tomorrows newspaper! Time as we know it is fast approaching the end- I had the opportunity to witness to someone this week and they received Gods Greatest Gift- Salvation; Knowing Jesus as their LORD! Glory to God! Thank God for the promises in His Word- Whosoever shall call upon the Name of the LORD shall be saved! If you have not done it then don’t wait! If you are not saved you really don’t have the promise of tomorrow! One heartbeat separates you from the here and now and everlasting torment in hell with the devil and his angels- No, I am not trying to scare you into believing- I am just telling you the truth! Jesus said he was the ONLY Way to the Father (John 14:6) And contrary to a popular song from the 80′s, there is no back stairway into heaven either! God is not going to doze off and you somehow slip past Him either! Look, I am being totally honest with you and I know it may be a bit harsh, but time is running out and we don’t have time to be playing around and playing church! Peoples lives depend on us getting the Gospel, the Good News to them -Thousands have already gone to hell just since January 1- and there is no escape!

I have heard people say “Well if God is so good why does He send people to hell?”. He doesn’t send them to hell- He did everything He could do to save all mankind when He sent His Son Jesus! Jesus lived a perfect life, anointed with Power and the Holy Ghost (the same anointing that is available to us now) and He went about doing good! ( Acts 10:38) Jesus then went to the cross and bore our sins, our sicknesses, our pain, our sorrow and grief. He then poured out His blood and the final sacrifice was made! Go to Matthew 27 and read the account of Him being crucified. He became sin for us- He spent 3 days being tormented in hell until the Father said it was enough and the penalty for sin, the sin debt so to speak, was paid! And then the Father raised Jesus from the dead! Jesus took back all the power and authority the devil had stolen from Adam in the Garden of Eden and now the devil IS a defeated foe! Glory to God! (and I will let all that be another blog for another day so check in with me again)

Glory to God and Thank You Jesus! Thank God for His Word! He promised Jesus would come all the way back in Genesis and now it was fulfilled! Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel. God did all he could to save us from sin when He sent Jesus.As far as God is concerned everybody is saved because He has done all he can do to save us- The rest is up to us! No, don’t think I am getting squirrelly- give me a minute to enlighten you, OK? Revelation 3:5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels . Do you see what it says? He will not blot your name out of the Book of the living! That should send a thrill through you! As far as God is concerned, we are all saved by Jesus Blood! BUT- There is a catch- You must confess Jesus as LORD and believe God raised Him from the dead! (Romans 10:8-13) Otherwise a devils hell awaits you-How sad to live your whole life and the Father having your name already penned into the Book of Life and then….you die without making Jesus LORD of your life and then your name is removed, or blotted out. And that was a decision that YOU made! God does not, does not and I will say it again GOD DOES NOT send people to hell!! They have a free will and they send their selves by rejecting Jesus! By refusing Gods Gift we send ourselves to hell! It is our choice because we do have a free will to accept or reject what Jesus did on the cross and accept Him and make Him our LORD! I don’t know how I can say it any simpler but if you die today and have never made Jesus your LORD then the next moment you will be in hell! If you never before heard the Good News that Jesus Saves and God Loves you then I take this opportunity to ask you to make the most important decision you have ever made- Where you will spend eternity depends on it!

Now some will say “I don’t believe in God.” Well, He still believes in you! Some will say “Well, I don’t believe in hell” or “All my friends will be there and we will have a big party”; NO, that IS NOT going to happen! That is a lie of the devil. The devil has done a good job of deceiving people over the centuries and hell is loaded with people who were just that- Deceived! Another tool the devil uses is procrastination- “Well, I’ll get saved tomorrow, or next Sunday, or next church service”-Hell is full of people who “planned to do it later”. 2 Corinthians 6:2 says today is the day of Salvation! I already said it earlier, but I will say it again- If you don’t know Jesus as LORD then you DO NOT have the promise of the next breath.

I think I have given you more than enough to chew on. I do ask you to think about what I have said and if you have not made Jesus Lord then do it today-Pray this and mean it- “Dear God, I confess I am a sinner and I need Jesus to be my LORD. I believe You raised Him from the dead and I confess Jesus as my LORD now. Come into my heart and fill me with Your Holy Spirit now, in Jesus Name, Amen”. If you prayed that and meant it, you are saved! Glory to God!! Welcome to the Family!
