We’re Expecting!

We are expecting! Glory to God, we are expecting and I am so excited! It is 2008, I am 43 years old and I am expecting-got your curiosity up yet? Well, let me back up to the beginning-Last week at work they posted a new poster from our insurance company for expectant mothers which says “Are You Expecting?” This is kinda funny seeing that most of us back there are men and over 40 with a couple exceptions; anyway, it struck me funny and I asked the Assistant Manager if he was expecting and of course he said “No” and asked if I was to which I also replied “No”-Immediately I got a check on the inside-wait a minute, I am expecting!! I am expecting this year, 2008, to be the best year of my life,Spiritually, Physically Financially-in every area of my life! I am expecting to see moves of God all across this world- to see multiplied millions give their hearts to Jesus and make Him LORD of their lives -For people to see the love of God and to experience His best for them! A year that I see my children draw even closer to The LORD in their daily walk with Him! Glory to GOD!! So, now I ask you- “Are you expecting?” and if so “What are you expecting?”

Hebrews 11:1 says “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” KJV

When is faith? NOW! If you go to the Strong’s Concordance and see what the words meant in the original text Greek and Hebrew (sorry, Paul didn’t have the 1611 KJV) we see that the word “pistis” ,translated into English word Faith means ‘persuasion’- The word “hupostasis”, translated to the English substance means ‘setting under or support’- The word “elpizō” translated to the English hoped for means ‘to expect or confide’-The word “elegchos” translated to the English evidence means ‘proof, conviction’-The word “pragma” translated to the English things means ‘object (material)’ – The word “blepō” translated to the English seen means ‘to look at’-

You can see that by doing a word study gives us a little better understanding of exactly what that verse says. We must be persuaded and we must have support for our expectations- The Word of God, Gods Promises are the firm foundation we can build our expectations on!
