Its 2008-Pray For Elections

A few weeks back I shared with you all the fact that God had put a scripture on my heart- (here is an excerpt from that blog)

Pro 29:2 When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn.

We need to be spending time before God and finding out who we need to support in the 2008 election- I am asking God to raise up 2 Born Again, Holy Ghost filled, Christian men to take the office of President and Vice President and also Born Again, Christian men and women to be elected to the House Of Representatives and Senate! Also the same thing in all local and state level elections!- This country IS the greatest country on earth and I personally want to see it remain that way! If you are a Christian, please join with me in this awesome task. Pray! Seek Gods will and then get to it! Get out and vote! Stand in Faith! Then pray for all those in power and authority-this includes our Police, Fire, and Military according to 1Ti 2:1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Its real simple: if we follow Gods guidance and His will we won’t go wrong! And we won’t return to a nation of mourning- Think about it- and yes, your comments are always welcome-

Well, it is here….we can’t wait till November to start preparing for the election-We must be spending time learning about the candidates and what they really stand for and what they really believe- we also must be seeking Gods wisdom and guidance on these candidates (Not just Presidential ones either- All candidates in every office on the local, state and national levels)- Then we need to get out and vote for the candidate that we are to vote for- The candidates that God has directed us to vote for and make wise choices! The choices that put the right people in a place of authority to lead this country into the next decade and the future!

Yes, I know that there will be people who will wander into the voting booth, exercise their “right” to vote and just pull levers or mark boxes with no regard or knowledge of what or who they are voting for except they “heard” someone on a certain news outlet say something about this man or woman and they like what they heard……well, I like his or her looks…..or he/she is going to do this for me because they are going to punish this group……well, they are going to “give” me this or that…Well, they are going to “give” me “free” health-care….(I hate to burst your bubble but….Nothing is free!! Somebody has to pay!!!)…..well, I am just going to vote for this one because he/she is associated with this particular political party……I just cant vote for a Republican or I just can’t vote for a Democrat so that’s why voted this way…..I just wanted to vote this bunch out of office…….and the list of stupid reasons is about endless, but you get the idea of the wrong reasons that some people vote.

Be diligent to spend time learning who the candidates are in your local, state and national elections and take the time to spend time before God seeking His will- I guarantee if you do you won’t make the wrong decision-I am not being a prophet of doom but I must say this- There are certain candidates that we definitely DO NOT need in office because the future and the very freedoms we enjoy are at stake!
